Went out shooting on Route 6. Didn't go exactly as planned however. I'd forgotten just how futile it is to try to get a decent photo on the night of the new moon. It wasn't a complete waste tho, I found plenty of places I'd like to shoot. I'll just have to return in 2 weeks when the full moon is upon us. I do have to say tho, it is quite peaceful to be out in an empty corn field at 2 am on a near-cloudless new moon. The stars are at their brightest. I haven't been able to see the sword on Orion's belt since my last trip to Yellowstone.

This has been a very odd week full of emotional lows, highs, more lows, more highs and tension between friends. All the while I can't shake the feeling that I'm missing something. I can't see the big picture.

5 hours of pacing, multiple aspirin, and a mini-breakdown later I finally burned off enough nervous energy to sleep. >_> now I'm just doing my best to keep myself busy so I don't start brooding and get worked up again. I tend to over think things. I just have to keep my head up, eyes forward and try not worry.
